Batman ’ s buddy and apprentice has been a critical, defining chemical element of the cap crusader from his first gear appearance a year into Batman ’ s life to his ubiquity in Batman stories of the Golden and Silver Age to handing down the blanket to newfangled heroes starting in the early 1980s.
Robin gives Batman contrast – makes him vulnerable but besides relatable. On his own, Robin often represents represents the exuberance, athleticism, and growth that the more static character of Bruce Wayne can not show .
Robin began to appear in his own short, back-up stories in Star Spangled Comics in 1947-1952, sometimes as the headline star. He would former be a establish member of Teen Titans, and the current holder of the Robin mantle is about always on the team. In the 1990s, a third base embodiment of Robin launched into the inaugural Robin limited and ongoing series. Later, in 2009, Batman and Robin became a congress of racial equality claim in DC ’ s Batman line .
