Karen Duncan, née Beecher, is the Teen Titan Bumblebee.

Scientist Karen Beecher was the girlfriend of Teen Titans extremity the Herald ( a.k.a. Mal Duncan ). In order to help make Herald look well in front of the team, Beecher secretly made herself a bumblebee-themed super-suit and attacked the Teen Titans. She escaped without this ruse being revealed.   • Exoskeleton: Enables flight through rapid movement on her wings that are attached to her costume, faster movement and a vibration application allow her sonic disruption. It also acts like a body armor that enhances her strength.

    • Superhuman Durability: Equipment provided superhuman durability.

  • Although this character was originally introduced during DC’s Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character’s Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
  • Karen–along with numerous other DCU heroines–was contacted by Oracle (Barbara Gordon) and asked to join the expanded roster of the latter’s team, the Birds of Prey. However, the team disbanded before she participated in any missions.
