Wi-Fi® Protected Setup ( WPS ) is a built-in have of many routers that make it easier to connect Wi-Fi enable devices to a secure wireless net. This information is provided to help connect your television receiver, Blu-ray Disc™ player, or other supported family television products to a radio network using WPS .

Before you start

Android TV™ devices with or updated to Android™ 8.0 Oreo™ operating system or newer do n’t support WPS and wo n’t have the WPS choice in the Network settings.

Make certain your router supports the WPS feature. Refer to your router documentation or contact the manufacturer to learn how to use and setup the WPS sport of your router .
Note: Some manufactures may use the following terms alternatively of WPS ( Push Button ) to describe this routine .

• Wi-Fi Simple Config
• Push ‘n’ Connect
• PBC
• Quick Secure Setup (QSS)

WPS (Push Button) connection setup

Android TVs

Note: Android TVs with or updated to Android 8.0 Oreo operating system or newer do n’t support WPS and wo n’t have the WPS choice in the Network settings. This software interpretation and future updates remove the WPS function from Android TVs that presently support WPS .

1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Network.
4. Select Network setup.
5. Select Easy or Expert.
   • Easy setup
     1. Select Wi-Fi.
     2. Select CONNECT BY WPS BUTTON.
     3. While your TV is searching for a connection, press the WPS button on your wireless router.
        • The search will cancel if you do not press the WPS button on the router within 2 minutes.
   • Expert setup
     1. Select Wi-Fi.
     2. Select Connect via WPS.
     3. While your TV is searching, press the WPS button on your router.

LCD TVs, Blu-ray players, and other devices

1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Network.
4. Select Network Set up or Setup Network Connections.
5. Select Wireless, Wireless LAN or Wi-Fi.
6. Select WPS (Push Button).
7. Select Start.
8. While the device is searching, press the WPS button on the router to establish a connection.
   • It may take a few minutes to connect.
   • Most routers have a light that flashes while the connection is being established.
9. After a successful connection is made, select OK.

Troubleshooting

If the WPS connection fails, follow these troubleshooting steps and then try connecting again :

• Make sure that the routers WPS feature is enabled.
• Move the router closer to your device.

Contact the router manufacturer or your internet service provider ( ISP ) if you need extra aid with your radio router .
