Shang-Chi Sparks Outrage in China Over ‘Hidden’ Tiananmen Square Reference

In the interview, which was captured in images, Liu recalled his parents ‘ stories about “ growing up in communist China. ” He discussed his kin ‘s history and identify China as separate of the “ one-third world, ” in which people were “ death of starvation. ” Wanting to live a “ barren life, ” Liu ‘s parents emigrated from China and moved to Canada .
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings signified a major stir in Marvel Studios and Disney ‘s ability to release films into the chinese market, since the film — which has been viewed by some as an attempt to better solicitation to China and taiwanese audiences specifically — ultimately became the second film released this year to be basically barred from taiwanese field screens.
